Her Body In Her Words is a photo-book by Elena Mudd which delves into different perspectives women have about their own bodies and body image. Images and words combine to give the viewer a deeper understanding of how and what women think about themselves.

Click on the image to view the project. Please note that the book is meant to be read in print form, and the pages of text are on translucent paper so that underneath you see the next image of the person somewhat, then you flip the text page and see the image more clearly.

Elena Mudd

elenaElena Mudd is a visual artist from Burlington, Vermont studying Photography & Social Justice at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. She has spent time in Zimbabwe volunteering and photographing the African Lion for ALERT (African Lion and Environmental Research Trust) as well as working for Hope Works a non-profit working to end sexual violence in Vermont. She recently finished an Editorial Internship at Musée Magazine and interns and assists for photographer Michael Turek. She is currently working on various photography and film documentary projects in New York and Vermont.
